Forever Silent: Because there are no adjustment holes to “egg-out” and rattle you will no longer sound like the “Tin Man.” Everyone sees me coming...I hate it when they can hear me coming to! LiteStix one tube construction will last years longer than ordinary adjustable crutches because the hand grips are mounted on a collar & post made from extremely strong Chromoly Steel that unlike an aluminum collar and post, will not fail catistrophically. Strong, safe and dependable!
The essential value of LiteStix is the way they protect our upper bodies for the long haul. We cast approximately three times our body weight onto our hands, arms and shoulders with each step. Active crutch users walk 4,000 to 8,000 steps a day. That adds up to literally tons of negative ground impact forces jarring our bodies every day. My patented Tornado and Performance tips and Performance Grips have Absorbalite gel polymer inside. Absorbalite gel has the ability to “eat shock” by transforming it into heat energy instead of transmitting it up the crutch shaft into our upper bodies. Reducing these negative ground impact forces will help mitigate overuse syndrome keeping us vertical into the future. And walking with LiteStix crutches just plain feels good!
Choice of handgrips: Performance Gel Grips are super comfortable and by far our most popular, or the contoured Right Grip or the smaller Endurance Grips.
Patented Crutch Tips: You have the choice of either my Tornado or larger Performance tips. Both have a built-in shock absorbing system that significantly reduces “crutch shock” while providing excellent traction and extremely long wear.
Lightweight: LiteStix weigh less than 2 pounds each. So light and airtight they float on water! I used to depend on my dear wife to collect my crutches at the ocean’s edge so I could skitter into the water. When I wanted to come back-in she would bring them to the water’s edge and I’d struggle to stand up while being hit by waves from behind. Now I walk into deep water and lock my LiteStix into one unit and toss them beyond the breakers where they float around like a well-trained pet. Now when I come in from my swim I stand-up in chest deep water, wait for a break between waves and walk out...all on my own!
606 Nylon Cuffs have the smooth lines of a race car and they hold onto our arm because they open on the side rather than the front so they hook over the arm and hang tight when reaching out to open a door. LiteStix cuffs are lined with a Padded Leather Cuff Inserts that absorb perspiration as well as shock...and they are held in with Velcro so they are easily removed to give you more room to accommodate bulky winter coats or to swim or shower.
Spats Door Guards: These are black plastic sleeves that come installed over the bottom 6” of the crutch. They protect the finish from being chewed up when you stick the crutch under a door to hold it open. LiteStix Aluminum crutches have a Three Year Warranty covering all metal parts and the nylon cuff and post assembly, excluding tips, grips, cuff inserts and powder coating.
