LOFTSTRAND ADJUSTABLE ALUMINUM CRUTCHESThe LOFTSTRAND brand has been around since the '50's. I know this because it was the first forearm crutch I used. They provided me with good service over the years though not without maintenance. The adjustment holes and the metal cuffs are the parts that wear-out. We do sell replacement cuffs when you need new ones.The metal cuffs are vinyl covered and come in two styles: front or side opening. Please note your preference when ordering or we will assume you want the more common front opening style. The handgrips are made of solid vinyl and have finger notches on the bottom for easy gripping. There is an exclusive nylon-silencing nut for quiet application. The adjustment locking pins utilize a stainless spring steel mechanism that will not rust. Of course I install your choice of a pair of my Tornado or our larger Performance gel tips (a $27.00 to $40.00 value) to protect your shoulders for the long haul. They will also give you great wear and traction for the short haul. When ordering please fill in the crutch order form and give the " x" and "y" dimensions so we can be sure to get you crutches that will fit properly. LOFTSTRAND SEMI-CUSTOM FOREARM CRUTCHESThis is the same basic crutch described above with one important improvement. The leg-tube that goes from the handgrip down to the ground is made of one solid tube with no adjustment holes to egg-out and rattle. You supply us with your exact "x" and "y" dimensions on our crutch order form and we custom cut them to your exact height needs before installing a pain of my gel tips. We can make the "x" grip to floor measurement up to 44" long.
